What is NSO Cares
A 501c3 non-profit founded by Norfolk County Sheriff
Patrick W. McDermott to shape 21 century public safety through community outreach and involvement through intervention, prevention, education and hope.
Our Goals
Building upon the four pillars of prevention, intervention, education and hope, NSO Cares will be a driving force in community programming for the residents of Norfolk County, as well as create opportunities for justice-involved individuals to succeed post-incarceration.
What We Are Working to Achieve
- Increase Youth leadership and prevention programming ensuring we are reaching all children in Norfolk County.
- Provide education, opportunities and support for those reentering the community advancing them on the best possible course to a productive life post-incarceration.
- Identify and fill in the gaps inherently created as individuals transition from different services to provide a consistent positive path forward.
- Support area non-profits which provide important services throughout Norfolk County.
- Provide resources for communities to work together in identifying best practices for combating opioid and substance addiction, bullying and cyber security.
- Enhance and expand the community service programs led by Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office to increase outreach and participation.
